Change and Adaptability for Manchester’s Love of Reading

 The Challenge

Following a £48m investment, Manchester Central Library opened its doors again in the spring of 2014. The Manchester Library Development Trust was set-up to support future projects and developments of the library. Manchester Council approached unit36 with the following requirements:

  • Brand new responsive website
  • Inclusion of the concept ‘change and adaptability’

We’re a company that loves everything about Manchester so we immediately took up the challenge.

 The Result

  • New responsive website design that utilises fantastic visuals
  • Site design mirrors the magnificence of the building’s architecture

Continuing with the theory of ‘change and adaptability’ we decided to make the website responsive so that it would adapt to different browsers and devices. The library will be seen and used differently by a range of people – a responsive website operates on the same concept.

Unit36 did a fantastic job of developing and launching our first website. Everyone is extremely pleased with the results. Their customer service throughout the process was excellent and I would highly recommend them.
